With these sort of numbers and the World Cup title, it was impossible not to put Müller in the number 1 spot. Not a glamorous player but extremely effective and, I think, incredibly underrated.
Summary
Now the number one criticism I can see coming is, “WHERE IS CRISTIANO RONALDO?” I will admit it was very very difficult to leave him out. I just think this time there were better stickers available, relative to the tournament success. In the tournament, Ronaldo only scored the 1 goal so I feel he just didn’t deserve it.
As for James Rodriguez not making top spot, that definitely hurt, but you can’t go past Muller’s stats and the title!
