How it was Found
Lets move our lens to a CVS in Richboro, Pennsylvania. For those who are not familiar with CVS, it is largest retail pharmacy chain in the United States. In Richboro, the Erling Haaland 1 of 1, among the most valuable stickers in the Panini World Cup 2026 collection, remained undiscovered. As a side note, I have heard from a few followers, that some CSV stores enforce a buying limit on the sticker packs – cop that scalpers!
On June 3, 2026, a 13-year-old boy walked into CSV, eager to start collecting. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup just around the corner, there could be no better collection to begin with. He grabbed a starter pack which consists of an album and a few packs of stickers inside, and went home to start his collector journey.
You can probably see where this is going. In his first ever purchase, he pulled the Erling Haaland 1 of 1! To put this in to perspective, some collectors spend thousands of $ on boxes of packs with the hope of finding a sticker like this!
How Much is the Erling Haaland 1 of 1 Worth?
This is always the number 1 question and I will try to help. I can’t exactly give you an exact figure, but I can confidently say it is worth a minimum of $50,000. If it went to auction, I predict it could be closer to $100,000. But, this is me speculating. Not bad for a 13 year old kid!
Who is the Owner of the Erling Haaland 1 of 1?
In the words of Borat, “You will never get this!”
All jokes aside, because this is a 13-year old boy, I am not going to expose him to the ruthless world of collectors. I know who the owner is, and it has been advised that he first talk to his parents, emphasising how much the sticker is actually worth. Second, he has been advised to send it to auction at a reputable houses such as Goldin or Fanatics.
Final Word
I think this is a fantastic story for the hobby and shows how life changing a simple decision to start collecting can be. A minimum of $50,000 is a life changing amount for a 13-year old boy! Perhaps it can go to a college fund or a house deposit? One thing is for sure, he is a collector for life now!
